Washington: Selena Gomez has officially become one of the youngest billionaires in the world.
As reported by Deadline, the star of ‘Emilia Perez’ has reached this remarkable financial milestone largely thanks to her successful beauty brand, Rare Beauty, along with other profitable ventures.
Since its launch in 2019, Rare Beauty has played a significant role in boosting Gomez’s total net worth to an impressive USD 1.3 billion, making her one of the youngest female billionaires in the United States. The brand is estimated to contribute around 81.4 percent of her overall wealth, according to Deadline.
However, Gomez’s fortune doesn’t solely stem from her beauty line. It also includes her investment in the mental health startup Wondermind, income from music sales, real estate assets, and earnings from various streaming agreements, brand collaborations, concert performances, and acting roles.
Despite her last solo tour, the Revival Tour, wrapping up in 2016 and her most recent album, ‘Rare’, coming out in 2020, Gomez continues to be a notable presence in the entertainment industry.
She has garnered recognition as both a leading star and executive producer of the hit Hulu series ‘Only Murders in the Building’.
The show has recently been renewed for a fifth season, earning Gomez her first nomination for an Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Moreover, ‘Only Murders in the Building’ has received a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series for the third year in a row.
Additionally, Gomez is set to return to her television roots with the upcoming series ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’.
This new show, premiering on October 29 at 8 pm ET/PT, is a continuation of her original Disney Channel series, ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’.
In this sequel, Gomez and her former co-star David Henrie will reprise their roles, while also taking on the responsibilities of executive producers for the project.
