MUMBAI – Renowned Indian choreographer Remo D’Souza and his wife Lizelle D’Souza are facing serious allegations of wrongdoing, with claims that they misappropriated nearly ₹12 crore.
Reports from Indian media indicate that a complaint has been filed against the couple along with five others at the Mira Road Police Station in Mumbai. The complaint was made by a 26-year-old dancer, who asserts that his dance group won ₹11.96 crore in prize money from a television competition.
The dancer alleges that Remo and his associates collected the prize money from the show’s producers but have not distributed it to the winners as promised. Despite several attempts to reach out to them, the dancer claims that Remo and his team have been unresponsive.
Law enforcement has begun looking into the matter, although no one has been arrested at this point. The serious nature of the allegations against the famous choreographer and his wife has drawn significant media focus, considering their status in the Indian entertainment sector.
The investigation is still active, and further information is anticipated in the coming days.
