Liam Payne, the British musician renowned for his time with the beloved band One Direction, tragically passed away on Wednesday. The 31-year-old allegedly fell from the third-floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. New information has begun to surface regarding his last moments, suggesting he may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol. A harrowing 911 call from the hotel manager has also come to light, providing insight into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.

According to reports from TMZ and other media sources, it seems Liam may have been intoxicated in the hours leading up to his death. Witnesses claim he had an incident in the hotel lobby where he “smashed his laptop” and had to be escorted back to his room. Law enforcement was alerted about an “aggressive man who might be on drugs or alcohol,” as stated by Reuters.

An audio recording of the 911 call from the hotel manager has been released by an Argentine news outlet. The manager was heard saying, “We have a guest who is on drugs and is causing destruction in his room, and we require immediate assistance.” Reuters confirmed that the call was filled with distress. “When he is awake, he is wreaking havoc in the entire room, and we need someone to come because his life is in danger since there is a balcony,” the hotel employee expressed during the call.

The hotel manager reportedly heard a loud crash from the back of the hotel. When the police arrived, they discovered that a man had fallen from his balcony, according to a statement from the Buenos Aires police. The deceased was later identified as the British singer. Fans quickly gathered outside the hotel, some embracing and crying in disbelief.
