Liam Payne took to Instagram early Sunday to reach out to his ex-fiancée, Maya Henry. He shared a heartfelt post about the importance of holding on to loved ones.
The 27-year-old singer, who recently announced his breakup with 21-year-old Maya during an appearance on Steven Bartlett’s podcast, posted several messages on his Instagram stories. In one, he expressed his feelings, saying, "I love you," while also tagging Maya.
He wrote, "Don’t let someone go if you really want to love them. Even if you have to learn to love them through your mistakes, trust your instincts and keep them close. Time is limited, and we can’t regain it."
In a lighthearted follow-up, he joked, "F**k Me I’m Wise," and added more supportive words with prayer hands emoji, saying, "I love you, we calm."

On the podcast, he revealed his single status but also expressed disappointment in himself for hurting others.
