Los Angeles: Gal Gadot, the Hollywood sensation and mother of four daughters—Alma, Maya, Daniella, and Ori—expresses concern about the growing reliance on social media, which she believes negatively impacts the mental well-being of young women.
The “Wonder Woman” actress, who has been happily married to businessman Jaron Varsano since 2008, shared her thoughts in an interview with DuJour magazine: “I tell my daughters that my upbringing was much simpler compared to theirs. They are surrounded by filters and curated images.”
“They often perceive these images as reality, unaware that they have been extensively edited and enhanced. I remind them, ‘What you see online is often a fabrication, not the truth.’ It can be a confusing reality for young girls,” she added.
Reflecting on her own upbringing, Gadot described her childhood home as “very quiet.” In contrast, her current household is filled with “mayhem.”
She added, “I always wanted a lively home filled with chaos.”
The actress embraces the vibrant noise and energy that her children bring into her life.
“In my home, you can hear laughter, arguments, and tears—it’s a full spectrum of emotions, and I adore it. Yes, it can be overwhelming. I manage to keep it all together with the help of my husband, who excels as a father, even if it means sacrificing sleep,” she remarked.
Gadot has acknowledged the challenges of balancing her career as an actress with her family commitments.
In a 2020 interview with Glamour magazine, she said, “Finding equilibrium between my career and family life can be quite challenging. It demands a lot of effort, and my profession requires significant attention.”
The actress also shared a daunting experience from February 2024, just before the birth of her daughter Ori, when it was discovered that she had a blood clot in her brain.
During an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, she recounted, “I experienced a major scare. It gave me a new understanding of what it feels like to be terrified.”
Prior to her diagnosis, Gadot dealt with persistent headaches for several weeks.
She noted, “For three weeks, I had intense headaches and consulted various doctors and neurologists.”
Initially, medical professionals attributed her symptoms to migraines and hormonal changes. However, encouraged by her mother, Gadot opted for an MRI scan.
“The scan revealed a serious condition, and I was immediately taken to the hospital where they performed a thrombectomy to deliver my baby,” she explained.
