Washington: Rapper Cardi B has joyfully revealed that she has welcomed her third child, a baby girl, just weeks after her split from her husband Offset.
The artist known for her hit song ‘WAP’ took to Instagram late Thursday to share the exciting news, announcing the arrival of her daughter on September 7.
In her Instagram update, Cardi B, 31, radiates happiness while cradling her newborn in a vibrant hospital gown.
Offset, 32, who is currently distanced from Cardi B, is also present in the images, gently holding their little girl.
Cardi’s post was captioned, “The prettiest lil thing 9/7/24,” as she welcomed their newest family member.
Despite their recent separation, a result of Cardi filing for divorce in July, the couple shares two other children—son Wave, 3, and daughter Kulture, 6.
The heartwarming Instagram post featured touching family moments in the hospital, showcasing Kulture tenderly holding her baby sister while Cardi B gazes affectionately at her children.
Earlier in August, Cardi had confirmed her pregnancy through another Instagram post, where she expressed her heartfelt gratitude and joy.
In her message, she reflected, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, as you have given me more love, more life, and renewed my strength!” She further added, “While it can be easier to navigate life’s challenges while lying down, you, your brother, and sister have shown me the value of persevering!”
This announcement comes after a particularly tough time for the rapper, who had revealed experiencing a “freak accident” that temporarily left her paralyzed and almost resulted in a loss of her pregnancy. Despite the seriousness of her ordeal, she has reassured her followers of her recovery and positive mindset.
