Angelique Angarni-Filopon, a 34-year-old flight attendant from the Caribbean island of Martinique, made history by becoming the Miss France titleholder, marking her as the oldest winner in the competition’s history.
This milestone was made possible due to changes in the Miss France rules, which now permit women over 24, as well as married women and mothers, to enter the contest.
The final event featured 30 competitors, including professionals like doctors and dentists. They showcased their looks on stage in swimwear, traditional outfits, and elegant evening gowns.
As part of her win, Angelique will receive a year’s salary, an apartment in Paris, and a variety of gifts from sponsors.
This event followed the retirement of the Miss Netherlands competition after 35 years. The organizers announced they would shift their focus to themes highlighting empowered women and addressing societal pressures related to beauty standards.
