How to Remove "Found by Google" Products from Merchant Center

Select Language:

Digital Phablet announced new methods to prevent Google Merchant Center from displaying products flagged as “Found by Google” within your product feed. These products are identified when Google crawls your website independently, rather than through your feed.

There are two recommended approaches:

(1) Apply an attribute rule that sets the Pause [pause] attribute to ‘all’ for specific products you wish to hide. After a period of 14 days, these items will be automatically moved to an archived status.

(2) To stop Google from crawling certain products altogether, it is advised to include the data-nosnippet [data-nosnippet] HTML attribute within your webpage’s code. This tells Google not to index or crawl these specific snippets.

Additional details can be found in the related help document, particularly under the section titled “Controlling ‘Found by Google’ products.”
