Baidu has officially announced that its new Wenxin Model 4.5 Turbo will make its debut at the Baidu Create Developer Conference on April 25. While specifics about the updates to the new model have yet to be revealed, the details are expected to be disclosed during the conference.
The Create 2025 conference will feature six different sessions focused on topics such as intelligent agents, MCP, and DeepSeek, providing attendees with opportunities for hands-on technical practice and case studies.
On March 16, Baidu introduced the Wenxin 4.5 and X1 for free use. The Wenxin 4.5 is a multimodal model capable of interpreting various forms of media, including text, images, videos, and audio, which Baidu claims significantly outperforms OpenAI’s GPT-4. Both X1 and DeepSeek-R1 share advanced thinking capabilities that enable them to understand, plan, reflect, and evolve in response to inquiries, supporting a multimodal approach as well.
