Apple has released the fourth developer preview of iOS 27, with version number 24A5390f, in the early hours. The update primarily focuses on refining features, optimizing details, and enhancing overall system smoothness. Developers have worked to fix bugs identified in previous versions and are continuing to polish the new user interface and interaction experience.
Despite these improvements, Chinese iPhone users are still awaiting the debut of the latest Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, which have not yet appeared in this beta release. The anticipation among domestic users stems from the recent disclosure in mid-July of a new batch of AI services registered for mobile use, in which Apple’s Shanghai-based development team had filed for “Apple Intelligent” certification.
Unfortunately, the registration did not bring any surprises in this beta update, and no official timeline has been announced for when the Chinese version of Apple Intelligence will go live. Reports suggest that Alibaba’s Qianwen large language model will serve as the foundational AI capability for the local version of Apple Intelligence. This integration aims to cover a range of Apple devices, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS, providing features such as text comprehension, image recognition, and multimodal content generation.
These functionalities are expected to be integrated directly into Apple’s operating systems, allowing users to access AI services seamlessly without needing to switch to third-party apps. During the June WWDC 26 developer conference, Apple unveiled a new generation of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, bringing several innovative AI features to their platforms.
One notable update is that Siri AI can now understand and respond to questions related to the current screen content, as well as leverage personal context to search through information, emails, and photos. With deeper integration capabilities, Siri AI can also perform cross-application tasks, enhancing user experience across multiple apps.
