Are you frustrated with your Apple devices trying to predict your sentences even after you’ve turned off Apple Intelligence? You’re not alone. Many users feel overwhelmed by the persistent suggestions. If you own a MacBook Air, Mac Mini, or iPhone and want to regain control, follow these simple steps to put an end to this annoyance.

Step 1: Adjust Keyboard Settings on Your Mac

  1. Open System Preferences: Click the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen and select "System Preferences."
  2. Select Keyboard: In the System Preferences window, choose "Keyboard."
  3. Turn Off Predictive Text: Under the "Text" tab, uncheck the option for "Correct spelling automatically" and any other related suggestions.

Step 2: Disable Suggestions on Your iPhone

  1. Go to Settings: Tap on the "Settings" app on your iPhone.
  2. Select General: Scroll down and tap "General."
  3. Keyboard Options: Find and select "Keyboard."
  4. Disable Predictive Text: Toggle off the "Predictive" option to stop those unwanted suggestions.

Step 3: Manage Text Prediction in Apps

Make sure to check individual apps as well. In apps like Messages or Notes, go into their specific settings and disable smart suggestions or predictive text features.

Step 4: Regularly Update Your Software

Keep your devices updated to ensure the latest fixes and features are applied. Go to System Preferences on your Mac and Settings on your iPhone to check for updates regularly.
