John Krasinski and Natalie Portman take off on a global quest in the trailer for Fountain of Youth.
In the trailer, Krasinski’s character, Luke Purdue, declares, “One story. Five continents. Dozens of cultures across thousands of years.” Luke embarks on a journey to discover the legendary Fountain of Youth, a mythological spring believed to rejuvenate anyone who drinks or bathes in its miraculous waters. To navigate this elusive pursuit, he enlists the help of his estranged sister, Charlotte (Portman). While initially doubtful, Charlotte finds her curiosity piqued enough to accompany her brother on this seemingly impossible mission.
“So you really think you’re going to find a magic pool of water at the end of this?” Charlotte quips, to which Luke responds, “I don’t know, but I think you want to find out.”
Alongside Krasinski and Portman, Fountain of Youth features a talented cast, including Eiza González, Domhnall Gleeson, Arian Moayed, Laz Alonso, Carmen Ejogo, and Stanley Tucci.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, Fountain of Youth is based on a screenplay by James Vanderbilt. Ritchie has had a busy few years, having directed The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare in 2024 and developed The Gentleman, a Netflix series inspired by his 2019 film of the same name. He is also an executive producer and director for the Paramount+ series MobLand, which launched on March 30.
Co-produced by Apple Original Films and Skydance Media, Fountain of Youth includes producers Ritchie, Vanderbilt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Tripp Vinson, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, Ivan Atkinson, and Jake Myers. Executive producers include Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, Chad Villella, and Tara Farney.
Fountain of Youth is set to debut on May 23, 2025, on Apple TV+.
