This morning, if you launched Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, you may have discovered the addition of new booster packs. If you missed it, you’ll want to check your device right away. Yes, that’s right—the much-anticipated Mythical Island booster pack has finally launched, and it features an all-Mew theme.
While it was known that this update was on the horizon, players have been eagerly waiting. The new booster set offers a total of 86 cards—68 fresh additions along with 18 rare variants—and you’ll also receive a complimentary set of 12 hourglasses from the development team.
Don’t worry, the Genetic Apex packs are still available too if you choose to continue with those (alternatively, you can craft the cards you need).
In addition to the new cards, there are several Solo Step-Up Battles to explore. The Genetic Apex lineup has seen multiple enhancements, and by selecting Expansions next to the name, you can also take on Mythical Island decks. These battles will showcase the potential of the new cards. A quick heads-up: they provide a refreshing change after numerous encounters with Misty decks recently. The current meta is heavily influenced by Misty, and although Vaporeon won’t ease this situation, a range of new grass-type cards opens doors for innovative builds.
