Samsung is gearing up to kick off 2025 with impressive momentum, set to unveil its next flagship device on or around January 22. This launch will coincide with the introduction of One UI 7 and the addition of a fourth device to its lineup. What’s exciting is that the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Slim will be making its debut on an international stage, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold SE.
Although Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed this information in a press release, the model number provides a significant clue. A new Samsung device identified as SM-S937B has been discovered, as reported by SamMobile. While the number may not seem relevant to everyone, it reveals connections to the Galaxy S25 range, which comprises the SM-S9931x, SM-S936x, and SM-S938X model numbers. The presence of the SM-S937B in this sequence indicates its affiliation with the same family, with the “X” expected to transition to a “U” for the U.S. market.
In model numbers, different letters can denote various meanings, and the “B” in the SM-S937B suggests an international release. As for the distinction of this device being the Slim version, it rules out the Galaxy S25 FE, leaving the Slim as the remaining contender among Samsung’s upcoming devices.
However, don’t expect the Galaxy S25 Slim to launch alongside the other Galaxy S25 models in January. This device is anticipated to hit the market later in the year, likely during the summer, potentially featuring enhancements in its camera system compared to the base models.
Even with its later release, it’s important to note that the Galaxy S25 Slim is not expected to be the top-tier model in the series. More likely, it will serve as a middle ground between the base Galaxy S25 and the higher-end S25 Ultra.
