The live-service shooter, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, is now available at a drastically reduced price during the Steam Autumn Sale. For only $3.49, you can snag this title, which is a massive 95% off its regular $70 price point. If you’re interested in the Deluxe Edition, it can be found for just $5.
This latest offering from the creators of the Batman Arkham series, Rocksteady, was launched in February but received mixed reviews and struggled with disappointing sales. In the wake of its rocky debut, Warner Bros. announced its commitment to follow through with the game’s content roadmap. Now, simply months after its release, it has fallen to an entry-level price.
The recent discount coincides with the launch of the game’s third season, which introduces a new antihero named Lawless. This update also features a fresh battle pass, additional weapons, new cosmetics, and much more story content. If you make this purchase on Steam, you’ll automatically receive the update at no extra charge.
While the discount may seem appealing, it could be a last-ditch effort by Warner Bros. to attract players to its struggling title ahead of its one-year anniversary, which is coming up in February. According to IGN, a Warner Bros. spokesperson did not provide any insight into the game’s future beyond its established roadmap. Thus, if you decide to take advantage of this deal, be aware that the game could lose online functionality in 2025 if the servers are closed down.
In our review earlier this year, we rated Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League at 2.5 out of 5 stars. The reviewer, Tomas Franzese, criticized the game for its repetitive missions and excessive microtransactions, although he acknowledged the solid endgame loop and unexpectedly bold storytelling. He noted, “You can find enjoyment in Suicide Squad, whether playing solo or with friends, but there’s a lot of mediocrity to sift through to find the fun.”
