Today’s Connections Category Hints
NOVEMBER 22 #530
Getting started on a puzzle can sometimes lead to losing sight of the overall picture. In this case, the individual words are the details, and the categories form the broader context. It’s common to fixate on the details without stepping back to see the whole. If you find yourself in this situation with today’s puzzle, consider using a few hints to gain a fresh perspective. That shift in viewpoint can be transformative, so check out these clues:
- One category relates to something many people desire, whether it’s positive or negative
- One category consists of four distinct words that offer different ways to view an issue
- Another category involves computer applications that have gained tremendous popularity
- The last category includes four titles that all share the same ending word, which isn’t included in the puzzle
For any added assistance, feel free to use the following spoilers. You’ll first see the category names, followed by the respective answers in the correct order.

Interestingly, today felt like the easiest category to tackle, which isn’t always the case. However, this category seemed to be shouting for ATTENTION. While it’s often exhilarating to wrap up one category quickly, it can lead to a roadblock when assessing the remaining words. Nonetheless, it’s advantageous to have four answers identified early, allowing you to move on without overthinking the puzzle.

Different PERSPECTIVES often enable significant achievements, as having multiple ANGLES helps round out the complete picture. This may explain why resources like this one are beneficial, allowing you to adopt both your perspective and mine regarding the puzzle. With a different LENS to view the challenge, following along is frequently much more manageable and enables you to identify greater detail—ultimately making it easier for you to win when playing Connections.

The unusual events of 2020 saw the rise of ZOOM, along with these other work platforms. SLACK and TEAMS have existed for some time, and MEET had some popularity before, but it wasn’t until that year that they became essential tools for communication. Now, these platforms are so ingrained in my routine that I was able to identify this category almost instinctively after determining the yellow one.

While I’m not deeply familiar with all of these titles, most at least seem somewhat recognizable. The tricky part was with SHUTTER, as I briefly thought that the green category might be related to photography. I even considered ZOOM belonging there until I realized the other meeting platforms fit better in that category. Once ZOOM was sorted out, it became much simpler to identify the remaining categories and complete the puzzle.
