In Sengoku Dynasty, one of the initial significant achievements is unlocking bronze tools. This is a crucial advancement that allows you to explore new areas and gather more sophisticated resources. However, before you can start crafting bronze, you’ll first need to find some tin.
Locating tin can be tricky for beginners since it means leaving the initial area and venturing into the wild. The effort is definitely rewarding, and eventually, you’ll even be able to establish a mining village that can automatically produce tin.
Where To Find Tin Ore In Sengoku Dynasty
While you won’t find any tin in the Sosogi Region, once you move beyond it, tin deposits appear quite frequently. Tin is primarily located in the Mountain and Enjiro Regions, as well as being plentiful in the Central Plains.
Search for ore deposits that resemble copper; you’ll notice them as lumps of stone in the ground. Unlike copper, these deposits will have a shiny, silver appearance. Keep in mind that all mineral deposits will be covered by snow during winter, which might make them harder to spot from a distance.
The bandit hideout in the Mountain Region is a cave filled with tin deposits. After dispatching the bandits, you can mine enough tin to stock up for several seasons if you have the patience.
How To Mine Tin In Sengoku Dynasty
Unlike stone and copper ore, tin mining requires upgraded tools. You’ll specifically need a pickax made of copper or a better material. You can craft a copper pickax at a Workshop after mining some copper in Sosogi.
If you establish a village in either the Mountain Region or Enjiro Region, any Mining Outpost you construct there will be able to produce tin by assigning a villager to the task. The villager will also need a quality pickax, just as you would when mining the ore yourself. The better the pickax, the more tin the villager can gather daily.
This can be your starting village if you decide not to settle in Sosogi, or any future villages you establish after gaining approval at the Temple.
What Is Tin Ore Used For In Sengoku Dynasty?
Unlike most resources in Sengoku Dynasty, tin ore has one specific purpose: to be combined with copper to create bronze. Producing bronze takes time, but once the smelting is complete, it allows you to craft more advanced tools and weapons, making it easier to settle in the Nata Valley and build your dynasty.
