Crafting a Cooking Pot in Sengoku Dynasty: A How-To Guide

Sengoku Dynasty revolves around survival and leadership, where you focus on building villages and offering refuge to those in need while establishing your reputation in the Peasant Kingdom. The game features a wide range of items to create, but some are harder to acquire than others.

One essential item is the cooking pot, which, despite its importance, can be challenging to unlock and craft. It enables you to prepare various meals and medicine for yourself and your villagers, making life in the Peasant Kingdom more manageable and enjoyable.

How to Create a Cooking Pot

Finding and crafting a cooking pot can be quite tricky since the game doesn’t indicate its location. If you’re fortunate, you might stumble upon one in a bandit camp or a trader’s shop. However, most players will need to make one themselves.

If you’re further along in the game, you can easily create a cooking pot at a blacksmith’s anvil in a smithy by following these steps:

  • Select the craft option at the blacksmith’s anvil.
  • Choose the required materials.
  • Purchase the cooking pot recipe.
  • Select the cooking pot option from the crafting wheel menu.

However, if you haven’t unlocked a smithy yet and are still early in the game, you’ll need to conquer the Sosogi and Mountain Regions. Taking control of the Sosogi Region will grant access to several copper tools, including a copper pickaxe.

A copper pickaxe enables you to mine tin ore, necessary for making bronze. To craft bronze, you need to build a smelter in a workshop, which can be found in the production building menu. You’ll require copper ore, firewood, and tin ore for crafting bronze.

Once you have some bronze, you can create a bronze pickaxe, which then allows you to mine iron ore. However, you must first conquer the Mountain Region to unlock various bronze tools. After that, visit a workshop to craft the bronze pickaxe.

Once equipped with a bronze pickaxe, head to the mine in the Enjiro Rebels Region to extract iron ore from the cave. With iron ore in hand, you’ll be prepared to build the smithy production building.

Next, you need to construct a smithy. Once you’ve conquered the Iwasaki Region, you can craft various iron tools. However, you can create a cooking pot even if you haven’t done this by simply following the earlier steps.

How to Use the Cooking Pot

With the cooking pot, you can create an upgraded version of the campfire and sunken hearth that allows you to cook a wide range of meals and drinks. You can also place a sunken hearth with a cooking pot within a building as furniture, which enables you to assign a villager to it as a worker, automating the cooking process.

If you have canola in your inventory, you can also make oil from cooking pits equipped with a cooking pot. Oil is crucial for various medicines. In summary, the cooking pot is an essential tool that can significantly enhance your experience in the challenging environment of the Peasant Kingdom by providing advanced meals and the possibility to produce oil.
