Los Angeles: The talented singer-songwriter Dua Lipa has announced the cancellation of an upcoming concert, citing “safety concerns” regarding the stage setup. The news has left her feeling “heartbroken,” as she conveyed to her fans.
Dua was slated to take the stage in Indonesia as part of her Radical Optimism world tour, according to reports from ‘Mirror UK’.
Unfortunately, she had to inform her supporters that the concert at the Indonesia Arena in Senayan, Jakarta, would not take place.
She shared an update through her Instagram Story, stating, “I am heartbroken to tell you that I won’t be performing in Jakarta this Saturday, November 9. I’m present in your wonderful country, eagerly prepared to sing, but it’s devastating to announce that safety issues with the staging have made it impossible for the show to continue.”
Continuing her message, Dua expressed her disappointment, saying, “I was really looking forward to this event, and it truly hurts that we can’t put on a show for you, especially after such a lengthy hiatus since my last concert in Jakarta.”
She reassured her fans, “Refunds will be processed through your original point of purchase. I love you all and can’t wait to reunite and celebrate together in the same space, singing and dancing our hearts out as soon as we can.”
The Radical Optimism tour recently kicked off in Singapore earlier this week. The concert in Indonesia was scheduled to be her third performance of the tour, with her next show set for the Philippines on Wednesday. Following this, Dua plans to perform in various countries, including Japan, Australia, Spain, and Belgium in the months ahead.
