Unlocking Every Mask in Slitterhead: A Complete Guide

Slitterhead Character Customization

In Slitterhead, there are several ways to give your favorite characters a personal touch. You can enhance their skills to tailor your gameplay experience. Additionally, you can unlock various outfits and masks, letting you further customize their appearance. These extra items are definitely worth hunting for if you’re looking to style up your characters.

Even if you’re not interested in playing with every rarity available, pursuing these optional items can still offer a great challenge. Plus, they add to the game’s replayability, especially if you appreciate the creepy atmosphere of Slitterhead.

Lurking Parasite RE (2nd Loop) Masks

The first mission where you can collect a mask is during the Lurking Parasite RE (2nd Loop). To grab the mask, start the mission and use Blood Jump to reach the rooftop with the dumpster that you need to search. Before interacting with the dumpster, drop down to the rooftop below it.

Continue your descent until you hit a fence, then look left for another rooftop featuring a shrine at the far end. Jump over to that rooftop, interact with the shrine, and call forth the Shrine Guardian “Rat.”

Once you defeat the Shrine Guardian “Rat,” you’ll earn the Genbu Opera Mask for Julee, adding the first new item to her wardrobe.

Sleepless Zone RE (2nd Loop) Masks

Next up is the Sleepless Zone RE (2nd Loop), which many consider the toughest mission. Proceed as normal until you reach the elevator; take it up to the next floor. Once you exit, take a left instead of going right and follow the hallway into the boiler room.

In the boiler room, head to the far right, where you’ll find a shrine. Interact with it to summon the Shrine Guardian “Ox.” You could choose to fight the Slitterheads first on the right side to make this encounter easier, but be prepared for a tough battle.

Defeating the Shrine Guardian “Ox” will reward you with the Beige Face Mask for Anita, a fitting prize for surviving the chaos.

Missing Girl RE (2nd Loop) Masks

The Missing Girl RE (2nd Loop) is simpler compared to the previous missions. Play through until you possess Anita for the first time and face the Blacktip Mantidfly Slitterhead.

Focus on the back side of the Slitterhead, particularly the hanging body. Keep attacking it until it detaches. Jump behind the Slitterhead frequently to land hits, which can stagger it and give you openings for more attacks.

Removing the body from the Blacktip Mantidfly Slitterhead will grant Anita the Black Face Mask, giving her another stylish option.

Ghost Family RE RE (3rd Loop) Masks

In the Ghost Family RE RE (3rd Loop), you’ll encounter two Slitterheads as you progress through the mission. To get the mask, destroy the body of just one of the Slitterheads by focusing solely on the dangling body.

Once you’ve defeated one of the Slitterheads, you’ll obtain the Sieryu Opera Mask for Julee, enhancing her wardrobe options.

Over Limit Masks

Over Limit presents a more complex task. Navigate the mission until you’re instructed to follow Lisa’s presence. Head towards the main street and up the stairs leading to the path toward the club, then veer left along the walkway.

You’ll find stairs leading down to an overpass. There, possess a dog and wriggle through a pile of debris before emerging into an alley with a shrine against the wall.

After possessing a human nearby and interacting with the shrine, follow the waypoint until you encounter the Shrine Guardian “Horse.” This battle is tricky initially, but it gets easier once your rarities join in.

Defeating the Shrine Guardian “Horse” will reward Alex with the White Helmet, a great addition to his Lab Coat costume.

Black Payback REV (Mirror) Masks

In the Black Payback REV (Mirror) mission, another shrine-based mask awaits. Head to the overpass at the west end of the main street. Climbing the stairs, turn right to find the shrine against the wall.

Interact with the shrine to summon the Shrine Guardian “Rooster,” which consists of lesser and normal Slitterheads. This fight can be tough due to the confined space, so come prepared with your strongest rarities.

Surviving this battle will unlock the Guy Fawkes Mask for Blake, a unique addition to his collection.

Ghost Family REV (Mirror) Masks

The Ghost Family REV (Mirror) mission is next and relatively straightforward. Play as usual until you’re tasked to pursue Alex and his daughter. Instead of taking the road to the right, head left and then make another left up an alley.

You’ll find the shrine against a garage door on your right. Interact to summon the Shrine Guardian “Pig.” Be cautious; this fight is intense with numerous heavy-hitting attacks. Once your second rarity arrives, the fight becomes manageable. Constantly heal and use your skills to succeed.

Defeating the Shrine Guardian “Pig” will reward Julee with the Suzaku Opera Mask, adding variety to her wardrobe.

Bind Break Masks

Finally, we conclude with the Bind Break mission, which is more straightforward. Play through until you encounter the Weedy Stingfish Slitterhead. Once there, target the hanging body from its back.

Keep attacking that body using skills and heavy hits until you stagger the Slitterhead. When stunned, deal additional damage until it falls off. Complete the mission as normal to receive your reward.

Removing the body from the Weedy Stingfish Slitterhead will give Alex the Blue Helmet, a stylish piece in his collection.

There’s still one more mask in Bind Break that we haven’t figured out how to unlock yet. We’ll update this guide with that information as soon as we have it!
