Guide to Mastering Peg-E Prize Drop in Monopoly Go

In Scopely’s popular mobile game, Monopoly Go, there is a variety of mini-games that change each month. One standout is the Peg-E game, a digital pachinko experience that you can play with tokens earned from tournaments and special events.

During the Prize Drop events, which occur roughly once a month, you’ll naturally collect a lot of Peg-E tokens. These events typically provide great prizes, and using a few strategies can help you maximize your rewards.

Updated on November 7, 2024:Scopely has made several adjustments to Peg-E events since our original guide, including changes to the pachinko boards and new Prize Drop variations. We’re refreshing our guide to better reflect these modifications.

How to Play the Peg-E Mini-Game

Approximately every month, you’ll encounter a new Peg-E event in Monopoly Go, also known as Prize Drop events. In these events, your goal is to collect tokens to use in the pachinko machine, where you can win various prizes that increase in value as you hit certain targets. You can find extra Peg-E tokens through:

  • Competing in various weekly events, such as center banners and daily tournament leaderboards, which often reward Peg-E tokens as you reach milestones, allowing you to earn hundreds over a few days.
  • Collecting your free reward every eight hours, which often includes Peg-E tokens during the events.
  • Completing your daily goals as part of the Weekly Quick Wins meter.
  • Hitting the bumpers in the Peg-E machine when you see the icon for five free tokens.

You can also adjust the point multiplier in Peg-E, the machine where gameplay takes place during Prize Drop events. As you drop tokens, they bounce off pegs before landing in one of the slots at the bottom.

The slots have varying point values, with the center slot offering the most points, making it the hardest to land in. The outer slots are worth the least, with values increasing as you move inward. Each token that lands in a slot adds that amount to your event total, unlocking rewards as you reach specific point thresholds.

As you continue to play, the point values required to earn rewards will increase. So, it’s crucial to gather tokens throughout the event. If you’re willing to spend a bit, the game may offer a flash sale on additional Peg-E tokens for a limited time when you run low, giving you a quick chance to restock — for a price.

In addition to pegs, you’ll also encounter bumpers on the board during Peg-E Prize Drop events, with the number of bumpers varying by event. Each bumper has a completion meter that fills up as you hit it. Once it’s filled, you’ll receive the reward shown when you return to the main game.

Some of the bumper prizes you can earn during Peg-E events include:

  • Extra dice rolls to use on the main Monopoly Go game board, letting you continue rolling for more Peg-E tokens.
  • A cash reward, which is always proportionate to your current net worth, allowing players with higher net worth to earn more.
  • Bonus Peg-E tokens, which will be added directly to your total and can be used immediately.
  • Sticker packs, depending on the event, which often become rarer as you increase the bumper multiplier.

If you’re not picky about the prizes you receive from the Peg-E bumpers, there’s little strategy involved beyond recognizing that your tokens can bounce off the bumpers. This can make predicting where they will land a bit tricky, especially since Scopely frequently alters the patterns of Peg-E Prize Drop events.

What is Peg-E Sticker Drop?

Introduced in November 2024, the Peg-E Sticker Drop is a new variation of the Prize Drop event that only delivers sticker packs as rewards rather than a mix of prizes. If you’re a fan of collecting stickers, these Sticker Drop events are definitely worth playing!

The Sticker Drop marked the first time sticker packs were included in the bumper rewards, with the likelihood of earning rarer stickers as your token multiplier increases. During the November 2024 Peg-E Sticker Drop, the top prize was a Swap Pack, a new addition that features much higher rarity stickers and allows you to swap what you receive.

While you can still earn free dice rolls, cash, and extra Peg-E tokens from the bumpers, only filling the bumper meter will grant you prizes aside from stickers during Peg-E Sticker Drop events.
