Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reintroduces a variety of beloved weapons for players to enjoy in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. One standout option is the AS VAL, a rapid-firing assault rifle featuring a built-in suppressor and impressive handling stats. This weapon is perfect for aggressive playstyles and performs admirably in Zombies with the right attachments.
Today, we’re diving into two loadouts that will make the AS VAL shine in core multiplayer and Zombies gameplay. We’ll also explore effective perks and equipment combinations to maximize the weapon’s potential.
Multiplayer AS VAL Loadout
AS VAL Build | ||
---|---|---|
Attachment | Pros and Cons | Advanced Stats |
Suppressed Long Barrel (Barrel) |

|
Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel) |
|
|
Extended Mag I (Magazine) |
|
|
Ergonomic Grip (Rear Grip) |
|
|
Recoil Springs (Fire Mods) |
|
|
The AS VAL excels in close-range combat, but a few recoil management attachments will enhance its performance in mid-range encounters. The Recoil Springs in the fire mods category significantly reduces recoil by about 20%. Coupled with the Ranger Foregrip, you’ll improve horizontal control while enjoying an increase in sprint speed, making the weapon behave more like an SMG.
Adding the Extended Mag I allows for multiple kills before needing to reload, and despite a 30% reload speed penalty, it still reloads quickly compared to most ARs. Equip the Suppressed Long Barrel to enhance mid-range performance and complete the setup with an ADS stock, preferably the Ergonomic Grip for its slide-to-fire speed boost.

Perks | |
---|---|
Specialty | Recon |
Column One | Ghost, Ninja |
Column Two | Forward Intel |
Column Three | Double Time |
Equipment | |
Wildcard | Perk Greed |
Lethal | Your Choice |
Tactical | Stim |
Field Upgrade | Sleeper Agent |
Recon works well with a suppressed weapon like the AS VAL. Pair it with Ghost and Ninja to stay off enemy radars and silent when moving. Forward Intel provides a broader minimap view but feel free to switch to Tracker for modes where lives are limited, such as Search and Destroy. For your final perk, we recommend Double Time.
This build utilizes Perk Greed, which is unlocked at later levels. It’s a good idea to use a Prestige unlock token for it to avoid having to unlock it again later.
For equipment, consider using Stims and Semtex for general approaches. Tailor your Field Upgrade to the game mode you’re playing. Sleeper Agent can create quick chaos once activated, while the Trophy System is ideal for objective-based modes, and War Cry is great for aggressive play.

This Gunfighter setup is quite similar to the previous one, as the AS VAL already covers most requirements. We add an optic for easier target tracking, No Stock to enhance movement speed, and the Strelok Laser for exceptional accuracy as soon as you aim down sights. This combination improves your chances against foes while sliding or diving, provided you aim accurately beforehand.

Our loadout suggestions remain consistent. Recon is perfect for stealthy gameplay. Use Ghost to maintain a low profile on the minimap, and choose two additional blue perks to amplify the benefits of your Combat Specialty. The rest is up to your personal preference.
