In Dragon Ball Z, Goku and Vegeta showcase the Fusion Dance, which allows them to merge into Gogeta, an immensely powerful fighter. This special move is featured in both official and fan-created games, including Dragon Ball Rage on Roblox, where you can also harness this ability!
Unfortunately, the steps to unlock Fusion aren’t explicitly detailed within the game. This guide will walk you through how to obtain Fusion for your character. Be prepared for a challenging battle and a journey into a new realm!
Understanding Fusion
Fusion is a technique that enables you to combine with another character from the game for enhancements in stats or training. After acquiring it, you’ll have the ability to fuse with nearly any boss you defeat, which can provide significant boosts based on the character you select.
Keep in mind that Fusion operates separately from Modes or transformations, meaning you can use it at any time.
However, obtaining Fusion is no walk in the park; it is a rare drop from the toughest boss in the game.
How to Obtain Fusion
Before you can access Fusion, you must reach Zenkai 3 or higher. To achieve this, you need to train all your stats to the maximum level. After doing so, enter the menu and select the Zenkai tab.
In that section, you can perform a Zenkai Boost, which resets all your stats to 20% of their previous levels. This process grants you a permanent training boost moving forward and opens up new content.
Here are the Zenkai requirements:
- Zenkai 1: Achieve 1,000,000 in all stats
- Zenkai 2: Achieve 2,500,000 in all stats
- Zenkai 3: Achieve 5,000,000 in all stats
Upon reaching Zenkai 3, you unlock access to the Hell world.
Where to Find Fusion
After reaching Zenkai 3, re-open your menu and navigate to the Worlds tab. You’ll see Hell as a newly available location.
Hell is an excellent spot for training Defense, and you’ll notice many players working out here. While other worlds you unlock later are better for overall training, Hell is your go-to place if you’re solely focused on improving Defense.
Once you arrive in Hell, head towards the green island with a red lake on top. A boss named Gogeta spawns above this lake every 30 minutes to an hour, and defeating him may grant you the Fusion technique.
Defeating Gogeta
Gogeta is the toughest boss in the game, sporting the highest stats. It’s essential to prepare adequately. While you unlock Hell upon reaching Zenkai 3, consider achieving higher Zenkai tiers for better success, especially if you’ll be going solo.
Reaching Zenkai 4 increases your maximum stats to 10,000,000, while Zenkai 5 nearly doubles it to 17,000,000. These stat boosts will help as your main goal is to stay alive during the fight.
The Fight Against Gogeta
During the battle, focus on locking onto Gogeta and maneuvering backward while using your abilities. For this strategy, it’s advisable to use quick attacks like Destructo Discs, beam attacks such as Rose Kamehameha, and blasts including Big Bang Attacks.
Although Gogeta isn’t very quick, his punches can often take you out in a single hit, so it’s crucial to keep moving. In between your ability cooldowns, Ki blasts are a safe choice for inflicting damage. If you deplete your Energy, retreat to gather more.
Since multiple players will likely be joining the fight for a chance at Fusion, you might not be the only target for Gogeta. He can lock onto only one player at a time, so make sure you’re the one he’s focused on for the best chance of dealing damage.
Rewards from Gogeta
After you manage to defeat Gogeta, you will receive 1,750 Zeni (without any boosts) and one of the following items:
- Nothing – 40% chance
- Fusion Vest (Accessory) – 5% chance
- Stardust Breaker (Ki Ability) – 15% chance
- Dragon Radar (single-use for locating Dragon Balls) – 15% chance
- 5-Star Dragon Ball – 15% chance
- Fusion Technique – 10% chance
As you can see, the Fusion Technique is a rare reward. Since Gogeta only spawns periodically, you may need to defeat him multiple times to finally acquire it. Don’t worry about competing with other players; the rewards are local, ensuring that everyone has their own drop chances based on the damage they inflict on the boss.
Once you successfully acquire Fusion, you can access it through the menu.
Keep in mind, you’ll need to defeat the bosses you wish to fuse with first. From these bosses, you have a chance of obtaining their Z-soul to complete the fusion process.
