Quick Guide to Fast Money Farming (Reeve Style)

Earning money—or Reeve—quickly in Metaphor: ReFantazio can feel challenging, yet it’s essential for progressing in the game. You’ll need cash to purchase vital items such as healing supplies, weapons, gear, and even upgrades for your team. Therefore, making it a priority to accumulate Reeve efficiently is critical to your success.

There are plenty of items and experience points (EXP) to collect throughout Metaphor: ReFantazio, and investing time in resource farming pays off by making your party much stronger. Early on in your adventure, you’ll require as much Reeve as possible, and while there are several reliable methods to gather it, keep in mind that farming strategies may vary at different points in the game. Each of these strategies is crucial for building your wealth.

Selling Loot to Traders

Early Game Farming

In the early stages, you might find yourself short on Reeve, making purchases from traders difficult. If you need to collect some cash before reaching Brigitta, selling the items you gather from defeated enemies can provide a significant boost.

While the loot you acquire won’t always include your most valuable items—some of which you may wish to keep for your crew—ordinary drops from early-game foes throughout your adventures can accumulate enough cash for your needs. Don’t hesitate to spend some extra time battling more enemies early on, giving yourself more resources to sell when you encounter a trader or shop.

Locate Brigitta & Unlock the Merchant Archetype

The Best Strategy for Quick Cash

The most effective way to gather money is to activate the Merchant Archetype while searching for valuable farming locations. For a detailed guide, check out YouTuber Dustman1028‘s video. The gist is to locate Brigitta after finishing A Bullish Embargo Hunt. You’ll find her in Grand Trad on Sunlumeo Street. This class allows you to use Reeve as a form of attack, which might sound unusual but can actually help you accumulate more Reeve.

For effective farming, ensure this Archetype is equipped on the Protagonist, as it will unlock a useful passive skill called Alchemy.

To unlock the Merchant Archetype, you’ll need to improve your wisdom stats, but once you have it and assign it to the Protagonist in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you’ll enjoy an enhanced probability of obtaining extra Reeve from defeating enemies in the Overworld. This significantly simplifies and speeds up the farming process.

In the beginning, the Tradia Desert is an excellent farming zone, as enemies respawn without requiring you to reload the area. Be cautious of a strong level 44 foe that resembles a giant bird; it can easily take you out in early stages, but you can dodge it as long as you’re aware. Other areas to consider exploring for farming include the Belaga Corridor and the Abandoned Tomb. Keep an eye out for Red Crystals, which can also indicate fruitful farming spots throughout the game.

Selling MAG for Reeve When Necessary

The MAG Exchange & Brigitta

While it may be tempting to sell MAG, this decision shouldn’t be taken lightly, as farming it can be complicated and crucial for unlocking and upgrading new Archetypes. However, exchanging it at the MAG Exchange can yield a decent amount of cash over time. Make sure to wait until you’ve strengthened your follower bond with Brigitta to at least Rank 3, as the rewards increase significantly when you sell to her at that level. Moreover, reaching rank six will boost the exchange rate even further, so aim for that if you can.

Try to make the exchange during inclement weather, as it could lead to better rates for your character. Remember, the rates change daily.

MAG is vital for your party members in Metaphor: ReFantazio, as it’s used to unlock and enhance new Archetypes. This makes it less ideal to sell, but it can be a lifeline when necessary. Save this approach for when you can leverage the bonuses available from Brigitta; this way, it will be worth the trade-off, especially if you’re not pursuing any new Archetypes at the moment.

Complete Bounties for Mid-To-Late Game Revenue

Major Cash Rewards & Catherina

Completing bounties, like those for the formidable boss Kokamordos, Terror of the Skies, is an excellent method for acquiring substantial Reeve, especially in the later stages of the game. Amassing cash for the final boss encounters becomes critical, especially if you intend to utilize the Gold Attack against your opponents.

Before you begin tackling bounties, make sure you advance Catherina’s Follower Bond to at least Rank 3. This enhancement boosts the amount of Reeve you earn upon completing a bounty, leading to a notable increase in your total reward. Once this bond is established, enjoy the benefits without having to take additional steps.

By keeping these strategies in mind, you’ll easily be able to gather enough funds in Metaphor: ReFantazio to keep your party performing at its best and fully equipped for challenges.
