In the Faron Wetlands, you will encounter the Deku Scrubs, who have their own unique challenges waiting for your help. We’ll guide you to Bempu and show you how to win the hide-and-seek game to claim a special reward!
Finding Bempu
Once you’ve made progress in the main storyline, you’ll be able to return to the Faron Wetlands and talk to Buzzu and Bempu just west of the Smoothie Shop. Here, you will discover that Bempu enjoys teasing Buzzu, who is quite fed up with it.
Bempu invites her to a game of hide-and-seek and lets you partner with her. After each round of hiding, Bempu will provide clues to his location. Below are all the spots he hides in, so you can help put an end to his teasing!
Discovering the Trendiest Shop in Town
If you’re thinking of the Sweet Spot, it’s no longer the go-to snack shop. Instead, head east to locate the new favorite, the Smoothie Shop.
Just a short walk south of the entrance, you’ll find Bempu buried in the ground. Use Tri to pull him free from the earth; he’ll be surprised you found him and will quickly hide again.
Locating a Lake That Represents Love
The second time Bempu hides, he gives you a hint that he’s near a lake that symbolizes love. Head southwest to reach Heart Lake.
You will discover Bempu at the top left of the lake’s heart shape, buried near a large, spotted flower. Pull him out, and he’ll dash off to find another hiding spot.
Finding the Four Stone Siblings
The next clue indicates that he’s hiding among four stone siblings. Look for a landmark featuring four Deku Scrub statues surrounding a staircase.
To find this spot, travel to the northern area of the Faron Wetlands. In the center of the staircase, Bempu is hidden between the four stone statues.
Pinpointing a Home That Was Once Cloaked in Dark Thorns
Bempu’s final hiding spot is in an area that once was overcome with dark thorns. You might remember that Blossu’s house was engulfed by a rift. Go there to find Blossu outside with Bempu, who is underground next to her.
After you dig Bempu out, he acknowledges his defeat and apologizes to Buzzu. For winning the game, you’ll be rewarded with Fairy Fragrance! This item boosts the chances of discovering Fairies when you cut grass.
