After reaching your third or fourth maxed-out alt, you might find yourself asking: what’s the quickest method to level up amidst the plethora of content? Fortunately, this guide is here to help.
How to Level Up Quickly in The War Within
To reach max level from 70, you’ll need a staggering total of 2,481,285 XP. However, there are several strategies to accelerate this process. Most importantly, utilizing Warband Mentoring can boost experience gains; for every alt that hits level 80, the enhanced experience rate increases by five percent, capping at an impressive 25 percent.
This means that once you’ve leveled five characters to 80, you will have maximized your experience gain boost.
Your chosen leveling method can significantly impact your speed. Below is a ranking of methods from the fastest to the least effective:
Dungeon Spamming
Diving into dungeons is undoubtedly the most efficient way to level up in The War Within. The key factor here is the group dynamic. If you utilize Dungeon Finder, there’s no guarantee you’ll be with a team that can clear dungeons swiftly, nor will you necessarily get a quick queue.
Typically, queue times range from four to ten minutes depending on your server.
You can mitigate this wait time by queuing while completing other quests, allowing you to make the most of your downtime. Additionally, look for groups on the Looking For Group feature that are dedicated to dungeon spamming for reduced wait times.
Once you’ve formed a group, depending on your current level and experience boosts, you can expect to gain nearly one level per dungeon run.
Completing the Main Campaign
The main campaign includes 12 chapters across four zones, which can be quite time-intensive for each new character. However, finishing it alongside the zone’s various side quests will reward you with approximately two levels short of max.
It’s advisable to complete the campaign with your first leveled character, as doing so will grant you greater flexibility with future character leveling.
World Quests and Events
World quests are an excellent source of experience, typically netting about 10,000 experience per quest alongside improved gear. Each zone offers around four to five quests every 24 hours, providing a substantial experience boost by logging in daily.
World events may take longer but offer substantial experience, averaging between 20,000 and 40,000 per event. Notable events include the Theater Troupe in The Isle of Dorn, Awakening the Machine in The Ringing Deeps, Spreading the Light in Hallowfall, the Fishing Derby, and the Worldsoul Memories.
To unlock world quests and fully benefit from world events, you must have at least one character fully leveled.
Delves
Delves are a new feature in The War Within that involve completing mini-scenarios with Brann Bronzebeard. These can be repeated indefinitely and feature progressively challenging tiers. Depending on your selected tier, you can earn around 70,000 to 200,000 experience per Delve.
While Delves offer substantial experience, they can be quite time-consuming, so we recommend not relying on them as your sole leveling method.
