As Halloween draws near, Fortnitemares 2024 has kicked off in Fortnite as a part of the Halloween festivities for Chapter 5 Season 4. This year’s event welcomes back some iconic items, including the Witch Broom. Although it’s not brand new, the Witch Broom is available only for a limited time, so players eager to get their hands on it should act quickly.
Fortnitemares 2024 officially started on October 12, and all event-related items will be up for grabs until Chapter 5 Season 4 comes to a close. In addition to the Witch Broom, players can also find the Wood Stake Shotgun and the Pumpkin Launcher. To unlock these items, you’ll first need to complete some spooky tasks.

The Witch Broom is a limited-time item exclusive to the Fortnitemares 2024 event. If you’re interested, make sure to grab one soon, or you may have to wait until next year’s Halloween to see it again.
While the Wood Stake Shotgun and Pumpkin Launcher can be claimed as rewards for defeating Ultima Carver at Brawler’s Patch, the Witch Broom has its own unique requirements. The Challenge
In Jigsaw’s Challenge, you’ll need to find the infamous horror icon, Jigsaw, who appears on monitors scattered across the map. By accepting his challenge, you’ll enter a duel with another player who has also accepted from a different screen. Once you both accept, you’ll be equipped with explosive Billy-inspired masks.
Your goal is straightforward: eliminate your opponent before time runs out. If you’re unable to do so quickly, your mask will explode, knocking you out instead. However, if you succeed in taking out your opponent, you’ll receive the Witch Broom, a Boom Billy, and some extra loot.
How to Use the Witch Broom
Using the Witch Broom effectively can be a game-changer. One of the quests for this year’s event requires players to travel a certain distance while airborne on the Witch Broom, making it essential if you want to complete that mission. Once you have it, you can soar into the skies, allowing you to swiftly escape sticky situations.
The Witch Broom acts like a glider; however, after each use, it has a cooldown of 20 seconds. So, it’s wise to avoid landing in dangerous areas where you might lose your Witch Broom to enemies, forcing you to hunt for another one.
