Kuo: iPhone 16 Sales Meet Expectations, No Cuts Expected

The iPhone 16 series made its debut just a few weeks ago, and now is the time when we usually start getting insights into how sales are performing through supply chain reports. After some uncertainty last week, industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared some positive updates regarding the sales figures for the iPhone 16.

Apple Seems on Track with iPhone 16 Sales

In a recent post on X, Kuo provided several insights related to iPhone 16 shipments.

The key takeaway is that the sales are aligning with Apple’s expectations, with no anticipated reductions in supply chain activity.

Typically, after a major launch, we begin to see indicators that suggest potential cutbacks. While Apple does not disclose specific sales figures, insights from the supply chain about changes in component orders often serve as a reliable gauge.

Currently, it appears that the iPhone 16 lineup, even in the absence of any groundbreaking features, is performing well enough to meet the company’s targets.

Kuo mentioned that although demand for the standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models is somewhat subdued compared to previous years, the Pro variants continue to excel in sales.

He pointed out that suppliers have been “expected to maintain production of the two Pro models during China’s National Day holiday,” suggesting that the demand for these models is holding strong and meeting expectations.

What’s your perspective on the demand for the iPhone 16? Have you noticed any trends among your friends or community? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
