During the State of Play event in September 2024, Sony announced that Lego Horizon Adventures is set to be released on November 14 for PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
Initially unveiled at Summer Game Fest 2024, Lego Horizon Adventures had its PlayStation launch anticipated, but the simultaneous release for PC was a pleasant surprise. The inclusion of the Switch version was unexpected, yet it aligns well with the game’s light-hearted approach to a universe traditionally filled with perilous robotic dinosaurs and apocalyptic themes.
A playful new trailer highlights features from the Digital Deluxe Edition. Pre-orders will provide players with a blue roller coaster customization along with outfits for Aloy, such as the Shadow Stalwart, “Alloy” Aloy, and Banuk Armor costumes. Players can also dress Aloy in ensembles inspired by Ratchet, Rivet, and Sackboy. Pre-orders begin on October 3, and anyone who reserves any edition will unlock the Shield-Weaver outfit in-game.
This marks the first time the Horizon series will appear on a Nintendo platform, expanding its audience reach, particularly among younger gamers. In addition to the single-player experience, Lego Horizon Adventures will feature two-player couch and online co-op gameplay, a common characteristic found in many Lego titles.
Interestingly, Lego Horizon Adventures isn’t the only new installment in the Horizon franchise releasing this year. On October 31, fans can expect a remastered edition of Horizon Zero Dawn, developed by Nixxes for PS5 and PC. Players who already own the original game can upgrade to the remastered version for just $10. With both games launching within a week of one another, it’s an exciting time for fans of the series.
