You’ll find that romancing Shani is simpler than any of your previous romantic encounters. Unlike Triss, Yennefer, and even Keira Mertz, who require multiple quests for romance, Shani can be pursued within just one quest.
Romancing Shani in The Witcher 3
To begin romancing Shani, you’ll need to complete the “Dead Man’s Party” quest, where Geralt and Shani are guests at a friend’s wedding. Unfortunately, during the festivities, the ghost of Vlodimir von Everec possesses Geralt and continually annoys Shani.
Even though Shani realizes Geralt is not himself, she’s left feeling quite dejected. This emotional backdrop creates the perfect opportunity for romance with Shani.
The quest “A Midnight Clear” unlocks at the end of the wedding. During this quest, you’ll aim to uplift Shani’s spirits and make your romantic move.
Dialogue Choices for Romancing Shani
In “A Midnight Clear”, you’ll have the chance to cheer Shani up using any means necessary. You can check Shani’s character profile to learn about her preferences.
Earlier that same evening, she mentioned her fondness for Rowan plants. Additionally, apply your Witcher senses to find other items she likes, such as a bottle of mead.
However, we recommend giving her some Rowan Berries, which she will use in her hair. You can find these berries in a bush nearby.
Next, find Shani inside the barn and present her with your chosen gift. Afterward, both of you will take a walk, leading to a series of dialogue options. While options may differ, we suggest the following:
- You’ve got me
- It was all right!
- ‘Unfit’ – what’s that mean?
- That was Vlodimir, not me.
- Let her down easy. I prefer you.
When you reach the lake, select these dialogue options:
- Better by a mile.
- Kiss sure didn’t sate me.
By choosing the dialogue options listed above, you will secure some romantic interactions with Shani, the redhead.
Depending on earlier choices, there may be additional dialogue without affecting the romance. You might also witness variations in the ending cutscenes.
After all is said and done, you’ll have one final chat with Shani before the quest ends.
