Yusuf Dikec, Turkey’s standout shooter at the Paris 2024 Olympics, has captured global attention, including that of Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
At 51, Dikec made headlines by securing a silver medal without the use of special gear, setting himself apart from other competitors. His calm and composed demeanor during the competition earned him widespread praise online.
Elon Musk joined the chorus of admiration for Dikec’s impressive feat. The tech mogul took to social media to commend the Turkish shooter’s exceptional skills.
Seizing the opportunity, Dikec reached out to Musk on social media with a thought-provoking question, inviting the billionaire to Istanbul for a discussion.
In his post on X, Dikec wrote: “Hi Elon, do you think future robots can win medals at the Olympics with their hands in their pockets? How about discussing this in Istanbul, the cultural capital that unites continents?”
Musk replied, “Robots will hit the center of the bullseye every time.”
In a follow-up post, Musk added, “I do look forward to visiting Istanbul. It is one of the great cities of the world.”
