Temporary tattoos are stepping into the future as AI-powered technology innovates the industry. Two particular game-changers were brought to light at the Consumer Electronics Show 2024 – LG’s Imprintu and Prinker’s Mini Prinker M.
Renowned South Korean company, LG Household & Health Care, took the stage at CES 2024 to unveil Imprintu, a mini tattoo printer.
With a potent combination of artificial intelligence and convenience, this portable device can produce temporary tattoos on skin, clothing, or other surfaces.
Users have a range of more than 10,000 designs to choose from – a selection that is perpetually updated to mirror emerging trends. After a speedy few seconds of preparation, the device is ready to ink in high resolution.

Looking beyond the aesthetics, safety is another distinguishing feature of Imprintu. The ink used is vegan and delivered in a form that lasts for several days. You can prolong the life of your tattoo by applying a small portion of the brand’s waterproof Balm.
Moreover, accompanying the printer are products such as the Powder Primer and the Balm Fixer – designed to enhance print quality and nourish the skin.
Making its North American debut at the event, Imprintu was well-received by various tech influencers, with Victoria Song from The Verge reporting on the $249 printer. This temporary tattoo device is already popular among the Millennials and Gen Z in Korea, offering an easy and fleeting method of self-expression.
Simultaneously, another South Korean company, Prinker, brought forward its mini Prinker M at CES 2024. This digital temporary tattoo device uses FDA-approved cosmetic ink that stays for one to three days and can be washed off without difficulty.
The printer is lightweight and compact, enabling users to apply a temporary tattoo to their skin effortlessly.
In lieu of the recent advancements, temporary tattoos are no longer mere child’s play, they are now stylish, safe, and skin-friendly accessories that cater to modern preferences and fulfill a growing demand for short-term, variable body art.
The launch of Imprintu and Mini Prinker M at CES 2024 signifies the dawn of an era where personal expression, technological innovation, and temporary tattoo art form a harmonious triad.
