During a group chat on Meta’s popular messaging platform Whatsapp, the number of participants doubled from 512 to 1,024.
Seok Chen of Digital Phablet noticed the upcoming group chat limit, which is expected to be implemented for all Android and iOS users shortly.
Users can now select more participants by selecting the increased number cap at the top right corner of the screen.
Businesses and organizations will now be able to coordinate between co-workers and clients under the updated limit. Immediately after the update, WhatsApp increased the number of participants in group calls to 32 and added the ‘Call Link’ feature to share group call information between participants.
